Sunday Walk
Yesterday was such a beautiful Sabbath day. The sun came out after church and Chance and I decided to take advantage of the nice weather and go for a walk. We live really close to a nice hiking trail and decided that is where we were going to go. We got Chate loaded up in the stroller and headed out. The grass this time of year is such a bright shade of green you almost have to squint to look at it. The trees are so beautiful with their little buds peeking out greeting the warm spring breeze. I decided that I would take Chate on a walk every day so that we can take in the beauty of the earth, and hey a little exercise is a bonus!
Time out for Women
Time out for Women is such a great event. It is so inspiring and uplifting, the speakers give such wonderful talks. They have so many incredible stories to share, some are so sad and heart wrenching, while others are funny and make you feel so good, but no matter what all the stories and experiences that they share make me so happy and so glad to be living at this time and to have the family and my own experiences that have made me who I am today. Hilary Weeks was the musical presenter, and she is amazing, her songs just filled me up with hope and love and contentment. I encourage any woman who has the opportunity to attend one of the conventions to go. It gives me such a spiritual high and makes me so grateful for my life, I leave with such a positive attitude, and it gives me hope too look for the good in this life even with its many trials and tribulations, if I but rely on God anything is possible and we can make it through the bad times and the good, God will carry you. Thank you so much mom for inviting me, lets do it again next year! Cant wait!!!
Ava trip
A couple of weekends ago we had a spur of the moment trip down to Ava... A) Because I had to have a tooth worked on and the dentist was about $2,000 cheaper than anyone in Columbia! B) Chances' grandmother passed away and we had the privilege to go to Joplin and attend the wonderful funeral to celebrate her life, and C) My grandma and grandpa Gledhill were visiting my parents before they left to Nauvoo for their temple mission. It was a very eventful and productive weekend. Lots a laughs, a little crying, and some new developments for Chate. He learned to pull himself up to a standing position on everything he could get his little hands on, and he learned to wave bye-bye, its too cute! Too bad we had to come back to reality Sunday night... Here are a few pictures from that weekend!

Spring is FINALLY in the air
Today was such a nice warm springy day. I decided Chate and I were going to do something fun today as to not waste this glimpse into spring. We went to Hobby Lobby and got some really great deals on the left over Easter decorations, then we went to Target and saw daddy for a bit. When we got home we headed outside to enjoy the beautiful weather. It was really windy though, which made Chate gasp for air every time he faced into the wind. Of course the sticks were a huge hit. We played swords, threw them, Chate gave them a little taste every now and then, and of course we shook them around like wild monkeys, I love being a mom to a boy, it is so much fun. Welcome spring it is so nice that you have decided to join the party! We welcome you with open arms!
9 months
My big boy is 9 months! Well he is officially crawling forwards now, I have just decided that he does things when he wants to do them, you can not make that kid do something he isn't ready for, and that is fine! He also pulls himself up onto his knees, not quite to his feet yet, but really close! Other breaking news, he is completely done with swaddling, can I get a hallelujah?! I was very excited about this, if you couldn't tell. He is my little shadow and crawls as fast as he can to get to wherever I am going, I love it. He had his 9 month check up and weighs 19.3 pounds and is 27 1/4 inches tall.
Easter Weekend
Hippity Hoppity Eaters on its way! I was very excited for Easter this year, and had everything I needed for "the big day" 2 weeks in advance, go me :). We love spending time with our families, and try to see them every chance that we can get, which is unfortunately few...But we struck gold this time around! Chance was able to get the whole weekend off! We packed up and trekked down to Ava Thursday morning.
It just so happened to be my sweet nephew Brydens first birthday that day! I seriously cannot believe that he is already a year old, time sure does fly. It was a fun day, he dug into his cake, and opened lots of really fun presents. It was also kind of a sad day as well, because it only meant Chate would be turning 1 in three months...I am in denial of this ever happening, I would love for him to stop growing until I give him permission too, wouldn't that be great?
The next day was date day! Chance and I jumped at the opportunity of being around family and decided we deserved a day to ourselves. Grandma Gwen watched Chate for us that day. We actually went on a double date with my sister and her husband. We started our big outing by eating at Buffalo Wild Wings. Lets just say we had a grand ole' time...laughing at Chance that is. He over estimated just how hot the wings he ordered were going to be. Poor guy, his eyes were watering, his nose was running and he looked like the Joker from the sauce all over his face. It really looked painful for him to eat and for us onlookers to watch. I really wish that I would have thought to take a picture, he was the epitome of what you would think of when someone eats extremely hot food. He did say that it was good though...so I suppose that is all that matters.
Next we headed out to play miniature golf. I had not been in a while and was obviously rusty seeing as my ball went into the water on several occasions. Chance was a pro and was the big winner. I was last, Kaysh was second to last and Brad came in second place.
We then went to Target for a little retail therapy. And of course we could not have called this big shindig a date without getting Andys on our way home...so good. We had lots of fun and were so grateful to Gwen for watching Chate and for Brad and Kaysh for tagging along with us!
Saturday Chance went with some of my family fishing, they had fun but nobody caught anything except for my dad. When they got home we went to Chances parents and had dinner. The next day was Easter Sunday! Chate loved his basket, and the Snake was a Huge hit. We had a lovely Church meeting, and a delicious meal that my mom cooked when we got home. We love getting to see family, we love you all so much! Chate especially loves getting to see his grandmas, and playing with his aunts, uncles, and cousins. Hopefully we can come back and visit soon!
