To Do List

Here are my goals that I want will accomplish before the baby comes:

(1) Plant a garden

(2) Paint the rooms in the house

(3) Finish decorating the house

(4) Become a millionaire...ok so that might be pushing it, but its do-able right?!

(5) Spend as much time as I can with husband before two becomes three!

(6) Take all the pre-child birth classes, of which Chance is just so looking forward to ;)

(7) Finally decide on a name for our baby, of course we could just go with Baby Boy, kind of has a ring to it don't you think?

(8) Enjoy my quiet time to the fullest

(9) Read my scriptures

(10) Make the best of every moment...come what may and love it!

This thing called "Pregnancy Brain..."

I am pregnant...just throwing that out there before you all judge me for what I am about to tell you. First off, I have pregnancy brain, meaning I forget things almost at an instant I am told them, I  should probably just go ahead and dye my hair blonde at this point, it would help my cause, and lastly, walking around aimlessly in the grocery store going down every isle scanning for the one item you went to the store to get, but immediately forgot what the said item was once you get there. Oh yes, definitely pregnancy brain.
So after about 30 minutes of walking around the store I came across what I needed, thankfully. I put the groceries in my trunk, and bam! The darn thing bounces back up, I continue to slam my  trunk trying to get it to close with no success. The people around me were staring, it probably looked as if I were trying to stuff a dead body in the trunk the way I was going about it. So at this point with no success of getting the darn thing to close I was getting VERY frustrated and slightly panicky. I had Chances phone with me because I needed the internet from it to get the ingredients for a recipe I found for dinner that night. So I try calling my phone, thinking oh he will pick it up and come help me out, because I do not want groceries flying all over the road on the way home. Well after about 15 times of trying to call my phone of course I got no answer, which made me more frustrated and mad at him. I thought real hard of a plan. Then I had an idea, we have great friends who live about 4 houses down from us, and I was praying that they could go and tell Chance to come and get me. So I tried my friend and thank the high heavens she was home! She glady went and told Chance about my predicament, and he arrived to my rescue about 10 minutes later. Now the next part of my story is the pregnancy brain kicking in...so he gets there and tries it a few times, nothing happened. Then I see a look of realization across his face, and he immediately gives me a look of "seriously", he then proceeds to unlock the little switch that always goes into the lock position for some reason, and bam just like that with effortless force he shuts the trunk. But isn't this how it always happens?
Darn boys....and to make it worse this has happened to me before and I should have known about the dumb little switch, and to just slam the darn thing as hard as I could. Well the moral of the story that I learned is nothing about the trunk, but about great friends and husband who will always come to my rescue, even if it may not turn out to be a catastrophe at all...though it really seemed quite a large problem to me, oh well, darn pregnancy brain. To bad I cant blame my silliness on the baby forever...or can I? :)

Happy Daddy=Happy Baby?

Like I have mentioned before my husband is VERY excited for our little boy to get here. He loves when we get baby things, and likes to put them together right away. Well as I promised, we finally purchased a crib mattress, so here are some pictures of the crib all put together.

As you can see our theme for the babys room is...airplanes, now I wonder why? Its not because babys daddy LOVES airplanes, and is going to school for Aerospace engineering, or wants his pilots license, and wants his boy to have a love for planes also...ya probably not, just kidding. It took me forever to think of a theme for the baby room, I looked at every single bedding set our there, seriously, and FINALLY I found this set, and I knew that Chance would love it, and he did. He also said baby will LOVE this, well a happy daddy=happy baby according to Chance, and he said all of his kids will like airplanes. I also have to add in that I am quite a thrifty bargain finder. This set was on multiple web sights for $240 and there was no way I was going to pay that. The cheapest I found it for was $99 on Amazon, but I was determined for something lower. I got on Ebay and found this 13 piece set for $50, free shipping! I was so excited I purchased it right away. The next day I got on to check the shipping status and noticed that the seller who was selling the baby bedding upped all her prices to $99! So I was quite pleased with myself for getting it for $50. I have found that this has happened to me quite a bit, this also happened with the stroller/car seat combo we got as well. So this is the next story, my amazing parents offered to get us a travel system, which is a stroller and car seat combo. I found a great deal, with very good reviews for the car seat and stroller, and it was a killer deal so my mom purchased it for us right away. When it got here Chance was very excited. He put it together right away and wheeled that baby all over the house. He loves the stroller, he asked if we could keep it in the living room because it is so sweet, I said no, a stroller is not furniture honey. So it is now moved into the babys room after about a week of being in the living room, I'm a nice wife. He still gets it out quite often and wheels it around doing wheelies, and zero point turns with it, he says he is "practicing" for the baby. It makes me so happy that he loves our baby so much and can not wait for him to get here. Oh, Chance also came home from work the other night with a "surprise". He got two little bathtub plane toys for the baby, they are cute and so is he :). I am a happy girl, life doesn't get much better.

The Carseat Conopy that I got for free! Yeah!

3 kicks means I'm here

I have noticed lately that our little guy has been kicking pretty hard, and mostly to my surprise because it catches me off guard. I have been able to feel him kick, and move around from outside my belly a couple times, but it never lasted for long periods of time. Chance was never able to speed up his superpower skills and get there in lightning fast speed when I would rush him over to feel him kick...well  we are both happy to say that all changed last night! Chance got home from work and we were talking and all of a sudden baby started doing the Olympics in my belly, I felt him with my hands and wondered if Chance might be able to feel him, but I didn't want him disappointed again, so I waited. But geesh this little guy was moving and kicking all over, so I told Chance where to strategically place his hand on my belly, and to wait patiently, which if you know my husband he is not a patient waiter. Thankfully he didnt have to wait for long, not a few seconds later Chance said "whoa!!!" and then he said it again and again! Chance was able to feel him kick 3 times! He was quite a happy daddy to say the least, he said "that's my boy, finally!" Later that night he could feel him moving around too. I love this new development, and am very excited that Chance got to experience a little bit of the amazingness that goes on inside my belly everyday. I do have to say that every time he moves around and pushes, I laugh, out loud literally, I don't know why, maybe because it still freaks me out a little knowing something is inside of me, or that I am so happy and proud of my little guy....probably going to go with both of those things though. Daddy feels baby kick 3/5/2012!

An unsuspecting Thursday

Being pregnant makes every little thing whether it be good or bad sends to your body a wave of emotions. Yesterday was one of those days all day long. I woke up with excruciating pain in my left butt cheek, and could not walk or move certain ways, I found this to be my sciatic nerve, thank you google. It has been just a joy, and the one thing that makes it feel a little better is to let Chance use my bum cheek as a punching bag, it may look like abuse to the outside viewers, but it is a tender love and mercy let me tell you. So that was a downer way to start the day. But I did have an upper later on in the morning by finding a really cute baby book to record all of the events in my baby's life up to 8 years! I was quite happy about this find, and even smirked inside a little because at that moment my bum was not bothering me...haha sucker! But the happy high of course could only last so long right? Yup for sure, something was bound to happen...and boy did it. I picked Chance up from school and on the way home we noticed the sewer truck sucking out sewer on our road. Okay that's nice of them...ha, well not 15 minutes after we walked into our home did we suddenly hear a spewing sound of water coming from somewhere, and then the smell hit. Chance ran to the bathrooms to find that our toilets were spewing sewer water EVERYWHERE! It was on the floor, counters, shower curtains, walls, and toilet paper was stuck to everything. Chance immediately ran out to tell the sewer people to stop and I stood in disbelief thinking...why us?!? Well the spewing stopped for a second so I ran over to the toilet to close the lid in case this starts up again...you can only imagine what happened next. Yup as soon as I walked over and bent down to close the lid the spewing started all over, my clothes and shoes were drenched in the nasty water, at this point I started crying. Mixed with pregnancy hormones I was having a melt down, I walked right out of the house and just kept going, I was very mad to say the least. When I got home from this journey I had settled down a bit and found that Chance had cleaned up most of the mess. I proceeded to help him out and sanitize everything, and opened all windows and doors to let the stench out, it took about 3 hours for the smell to go away, thankfully it was a nice day outside. So this lovely experience was definitely a downer on my day. The pictures do not give reality to the massive mess of how nasty it really was, we had already cleaned the walls and stuff before I thought to take pictures.

That white stuff is toilet paper, and it was spewed all over the bathroom

That is toilet paper on my towels, we used every towel in the house, yay for washing machines!

But I am here to say that my day ended on not one but TWO uppers! I have been looking on Craigslist for a piano forever now, but couldn't find anything worth purchasing in our price range, but today was my lucky day, I came across a very nice looking piano for $200! It came with tons of books and a piano light as well. Chance called the lady and we went over to look at it, and to my surprise Chance said we would take it! It might have had a little something to do with the days earlier events, but he also knew I wanted a piano VERY badly, and this was such a great deal that we couldn't pass it up! So we are now the proud owners of a piano woo-hoo! And to top the day off, one of my friends welcomed her little girl into the world, and a couple of us girls went to the hospital to visit. She is such a precious little baby, with tons of dark hair, and perfect in every way. I love babies, and as I was holding her, it just made me so excited for my little guy to arrive so that I can snuggle and kiss his little cheeks all I want! So all in all, it was a trying yet very satisfying day and what a better way to end it than celebrating a new life into the world.
